Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are the rules for using Cool Symbol. By loading pages, copying characters, or linking to the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service we provide

We publish a library of Unicode symbols and emoji, grouped into categories, with one-click copy. The service is free. We may add or remove categories, change the layout, or pause the site for maintenance without notice. We do not promise that every character will appear in every app, game, or phone. Fonts differ between Apple, Google, Microsoft, and older devices.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use copied characters on Instagram, Discord, WhatsApp, games, school work, or anywhere else. Do not use the site to threaten people, to impersonate brands in a way that breaks the law, or to generate content that is illegal in your country. We are not a party to your accounts on those other platforms and we cannot reverse a ban.

Intellectual property

The Unicode characters themselves are a public standard. The arrangement of this website, the writing, the theme code, and our graphics belong to us or to their respective owners. You may copy symbols for personal or ordinary commercial use in the same way you would copy a character from a character map. You may not scrape the site in a way that harms the server, copy the theme as your own product, or pretend that Cool Symbol is an official Apple, Google, Unicode Consortium, or game-studio product.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that copy will always succeed (some browsers block clipboard access until you click), that search will find every name you type, or that a rare glyph will render as anything other than a box. We are not liable for lost nicknames, failed game name changes, or advertising that appears next to the tool.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. If a court finds us liable anyway, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the last twelve months — which is zero for a free site.
